The Opportunity

We are opening our San Francisco office and hiring founding Software Engineers to build the core AI systems that power InstaLILY’s platform and West Coast growth. This is not a maintenance role—you will help define our technical architecture, product surface area, and engineering culture from day one.

You’ll work closely with the founding engineering, product, and GTM teams to ship production-grade AI teammates used by enterprise customers in revenue-critical workflows. Your work will directly influence how we scale across customers, verticals, and markets.

This role offers deep mentorship from senior engineering and company leadership, direct exposure to enterprise customers, and ownership over systems that matter. As the SF office grows, top performers will take on technical leadership and platform ownership.

What You’ll Do

Core Platform & AI Systems

• Build and evolve InstaLILY’s AI workflow platform, including orchestration, data pipelines, and execution logic for AI teammates
• Design and implement backend services that integrate with enterprise systems (CRMs, ERPs, internal tools)
• Work closely with product and GTM to translate customer requirements into scalable technical solutions

Engineering Excellence

• Own features end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring
• Establish strong engineering practices around testing, CI/CD, observability, and reliability
• Contribute to architectural decisions that enable speed today and scale tomorrow

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner closely with product, design, and business teams to deliver customer-ready solutions
• Support rapid iteration with early customers and incorporate feedback into the platform
• Help shape how engineering collaborates with GTM as we scale enterprise deployments

SF Office & Team Building

• Be a core technical presence in our San Francisco office
• Help define engineering norms, onboarding, and technical standards as the SF team grows
• Mentor future engineers as we expand the West Coast organization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–2 years of professional software engineering experience (internships strongly valued)
• Strong programming experience in Python and/or JavaScript (TypeScript a plus)
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Solid fundamentals in software design, data structures, and systems thinking
• Strong problem-solving skills and comfort operating in fast-moving environments
• Curiosity and motivation to deeply understand AI-driven products and workflows
• 5 days/week in our New York or San Francisco office for your first 6 months, then 4 days/week in person with 1 day remote

Salary Range : $100,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience
